presents

Jeffrey C. Yuen

The Eight Extras & Inherited Predispositions (Saturday) & Eight Extra Pulse and Treatment Practicum (Sunday and/or Monday)

November 10 - 12, 2007, San Francisco, CA

Up to 22.5 CEU Hours (7.5 units per day) approved by the California Acupuncture Board

From a meridian energetics perspective, working knowledge of the Eight Extra Meridians is essential for every acupuncturist wanting to help patients with genetic predispositions and inherited disease tendencies. The Eight Extraordinary Meridians are one of the two meridians systems that are conduits of Yuan Qi, which reflects our constitution, our genetics, and our deepest sense of self. On Saturday, Mr. Yuen will discuss the energetics and uses of each of the Eight Extra Meridians in treating inherited predispositions, genetic disorders, and various disease tendencies, giving numerous clinical examples from his practice and those of others whom he has supervised. He also will discuss ways of assessing the Eight Extraordinary Meridians via the pulse.

On Sunday and Monday, Mr. Yuen will help participants learn how to take, read, & interpret Eight Extra Meridian pulses, and then use that pulse information to perform supervised Eight Extra Meridian treatments. He will demonstrate needle techniques especially designed for the Eight Extra Meridians. Participants may attend the Pulse and Treatment Practicum Sunday or Monday or both days. However, each day will be limited to 30 participants.
