American University of Complementary Medicine in cooperation with Chinatown Wellness Center presents Jeffrey C. Yuen's 2-year program in Chinese Herbal Medicine via distance learning in Los Angeles, San Francisco, & San Diego.
The program begins January 13 - 14, 2007!

HERBAL PROGRAM WITHOUT TRAVELING TO NEW YORK!
This program offers a detailed “how-to” approach to Chinese medical herbs from classical and modern perspectives. Upon fulfillment of this 2 – Year
Program (300 hours) that meets one weekend a month (10 weekends/year), participants will receive a certificate of completion.
The two-year herbal program will be
video-conferenced in three cities,
pending a minimum enrollment of 20
students in each location. The course
will meet in real time from 7 a.m - 2:30
p.m. Saturday and Sunday each
weekend in a set location in each city.
PROGRAM OUTLINE:
The program will cover cultural & historical development
of Chinese Herbal Medicine; therapeutic
philosophies & principles; Materia Medica
– Chinese herbal pharmacy; energetic properties
of herbs & formulas; diagnostic evaluation &
treatment methods based on traditions; medical
specialties & their herbal approaches; formulation
& administration of herbal prescriptions;
contraindications & toxicity; interactions between
pharmaceutical drugs & herbs; treatment
planning & strategies of several major herbal
traditions; sampling of herbal teas & identification
of herbs; and clinical skills application & development,

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation more than 10 days prior to the first day
of class: 90 % refund of total tuition. Cancellation
within 14 days prior to the first day of class: 80 %
refund of total tuition.If withdrawal after 2 months:
50% refund of total tuition. If withdrawal after 3
months, no refund. Total tuition charged.
