Jeffrey Yuen will provide an in-depth examination of this most important work in the history and practice of Chinese medicine, Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine). Participants will consider the breadth and depth of the authors’ vision of the art of living and practice of medicine, which provided the foundation for all subsequent development of Chinese medicine. Jeffrey will critique commentaries and applications of Nei Jing thought to contemporary Chinese medical practice and research. Dr. Yuen also will discuss the Su Wen’s emphasis on healthy lifestyle routines as the fundamental basis of all health and departures from these routines as the primary cause of pathology. He will suggest ways of applying these lifestyle recommendations in acupuncturists’ clinical practice.
