KIIKO MATSUMOTO in Los Angeles (Pasadena)

American University of Complementary Medicine KIIKO MATSUMOTO
FROM MENSES TO MENOPAUSE
JAN. 31 - FEB. 1, 2009
Pasadena, CA

This course is pending approval by the California Acupuncture Board for 15 Hours of Continuing Education in Category I.

On Saturday and Sunday, Ms. Matsumoto-Euler will discuss and demonstrate her latest findings using Japanese acupuncture treatments to address various areas of gynecology from menses to menopause. Topics covered include working with women suffering from amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, breast disorders, infertility, hormonal imbalances, gynecological and hormonal-related cancers, side effects of birth control, and menopausal issues.

Kiiko’s style of acupuncture is a synthesis of her own clinical findings and ideas with the approaches of many prominent Japanese acupuncturists. Through extensive clinical practice as well as her own interpretations of Chinese medical classics, Ms. Matsumoto has succeeded in integrating different approaches to create a coherent and highly effective style of her own that embodies ideas from the Chinese classics and modern Western medicine. The main characteristic of this style of acupuncture is the verification of acupuncture points and their clinical effectiveness before beginning a treatment by use of palpatory techniques.
